Meet Marcus Hale

Marcus Hale is a licensed residential contractor based in Portland, Oregon, with over 12 years of hands-on experience in home improvement, remodeling, and tool evaluation. He started Fixer Vibe after years of being frustrated by tool reviews that were clearly written by people who had never actually used the products.

Marcus holds certifications from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the Portable Power Tool Institute. Before launching Fixer Vibe, he ran his own contracting business specializing in kitchen and bathroom renovations, where he tested hundreds of power tools, hand tools, and building materials on real client projects.

When he’s not testing a new cordless drill or writing a buying guide, Marcus can be found restoring vintage furniture in his Portland workshop or volunteering with Habitat for Humanity.
